TWIST Katherine Heigl’s Classic Style

From Gray’s Anatomy to her assorted big screen hits, we’ve loved Katherine Heigl for her classic style and sense of fun.  Capture her sophistication, but add a bit of funky edge.

It’s simple.  Swap out the multiple strands of pearls with multiple strands of mixed metal chain instead.

The Chain Maille and Hardware necklaces achieve the same multi-layered simplicity that hints classic style, but with the flexibility – and rockin’ statement —  that only comes from basic metals.  Base metals warm to your natural skin tone, complimenting your other accessories.  Worn as a necklace you’ll turn up the volume of your office wear.  Double wrapped them for bracelets for a get-noticed signature style.  With either option, multiple strands of chain draw inspiration from the classic that Katherine wears so well, yet will place your look at the frontlines of cutting edge fashion.

Wrist Style Guide 1-2-3

Oh how we love bracelets!  Of all accessories, bracelets lend the easiest creative expression.  We love to stack them up on each wrist, and are constantly being asked, “How do you do that?”

 gold-scroll-br-stk-cutie-small.jpg  br-stk-maressa-homepage-small.jpg

You asked, so here’s your 1-2-3 Wrist Style Guide:

Step 1 – Choose a flat and simple bracelet as your base, such as the new Flat Iron and Tapestry bracelets (as shown) coming soon in early fall.
Step 2 – Layer on a bold design like our all-time favorite Bubbles, Classic XO or Gypsy bracelet.
Step 3 – Now get some chain involved- look in your jewelry box, or go for the Hope bracelet (which is 20% off this week only) or the best selling Beatnik bracelet.  Don’t be shy about mixing metals!

What’s your favorite stacking combo?  Do you have a favorite non-Twisted bracelet that you throw in the mix?

Twisted Rocked the Runway!

Twisted Silver designer Debra Mitchell was selected by award-winning swimwear designer Reyhan Sofraci for Aqua Di Lara to add glamour, and bohemian funk to her striking Summer 2010 swimwear collection shown at the exclusive and star-studded Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Miami!

The vibe was pure excitement as industry insiders were on high alert all week for style darlings like Ed Hardy, True Religion, Red Carter to debut their surprises for 2010.  Deb spent the week taking interviews, attending parties, meeting the industry who’s who including stylists, photographers and media from around the world.

“The runway shows were incredible, every bit as glamorous as it appears on television and in the magazines,” says Deb.  With full backstage access and style maven only events, Deb came back with a new appreciation for adrenalin rushes and the meaning of the word BUZZ.

Deb was also invited to style for multiple events including a Ford Agency shoot in South Beach at the request of two IMG photographers as well as famed stylist Leon Frager, Fashion Editor for with whom she left the Twisted Silver line to be used in upcoming INCA shoot, and another Ford shoot featuring Tommy Hilfiger and Nicole Miller lines, and a fun collection of vintage Chanel, Janzen, etc…

After a full week of living life on the fashion circuit and becoming fast friends with Sergio Gutierrez, former San Francisco resident, and Miami artist/designer of Liquid Metal , Deb is glad to be back home with her husband and children in California and is basking in her experiences as a boutique designer who had front row seats to view all the glitz and glamour of the fashion elite and show off her own brand of authentic metals.
