Twisted Rocked the Runway!

Twisted Silver designer Debra Mitchell was selected by award-winning swimwear designer Reyhan Sofraci for Aqua Di Lara to add glamour, and bohemian funk to her striking Summer 2010 swimwear collection shown at the exclusive and star-studded Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Miami!

The vibe was pure excitement as industry insiders were on high alert all week for style darlings like Ed Hardy, True Religion, Red Carter to debut their surprises for 2010.  Deb spent the week taking interviews, attending parties, meeting the industry who’s who including stylists, photographers and media from around the world.

“The runway shows were incredible, every bit as glamorous as it appears on television and in the magazines,” says Deb.  With full backstage access and style maven only events, Deb came back with a new appreciation for adrenalin rushes and the meaning of the word BUZZ.

Deb was also invited to style for multiple events including a Ford Agency shoot in South Beach at the request of two IMG photographers as well as famed stylist Leon Frager, Fashion Editor for with whom she left the Twisted Silver line to be used in upcoming INCA shoot, and another Ford shoot featuring Tommy Hilfiger and Nicole Miller lines, and a fun collection of vintage Chanel, Janzen, etc…

After a full week of living life on the fashion circuit and becoming fast friends with Sergio Gutierrez, former San Francisco resident, and Miami artist/designer of Liquid Metal , Deb is glad to be back home with her husband and children in California and is basking in her experiences as a boutique designer who had front row seats to view all the glitz and glamour of the fashion elite and show off her own brand of authentic metals.

  1. Reyhan Sofraci is not only brilliant with the swimwear designs, but with pairing them with Twisted Silver on the runway. Glamourous, edgy, chic… I’m so proud to have been “twisted” from the start!

  2. THRILLED to see you playin’ up there with the big boys (and girls) and holding your own. Your jewelry is made for the runway. Love watchin you rise!

  3. Wow!!! I especially LOVED the necklace and earring pairings on the runway. I guess you can mix a bold opera necklace with dangly, fun earrings. I am constantly deciding between one of my killer long and lean opera necklaces or a pair of my dangly, sophisticated earrings. Now I can see that my eternal struggle has come to an end! Now, if I could just work on fitting into those gorgeous swimsuits. =) Congratulations on all of your success, Twisted; I just hope you don’t become exclusive to models and celebrities. Please continue to share the love!

  4. Those bathing suits were great, but Twisted Silver seemed to steal the show! How exciting is it to see something on the runway that I can actually afford!
